The cost of the current war in Afghanistan is high and rising daily. In addition to the sky-rocketing human, monetary, and social costs quantified here, there are many other costs not so easy to quantify but just as real:	costs to U.S. credibility both at home and abroad, especially as pertaining to respect for international law and human rights costs to international security as the war casualties in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria provide terrorist organizations with an increasingly effective recruitment tool.
